Job Description: Part-Time or Full-Time Gardener –

Miami Beach Botanical Garden

• Maintain and care for a wide variety of plants, flowers, trees, and landscaping features throughout the garden.
• Assist in planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and general garden maintenance.
• Water plants and monitor soil health to ensure optimal growth conditions.
• Keep garden areas clean and tidy, including trash removal and sweeping.
• Assist with pest control, disease management, and applying fertilizers as needed.
• Maintain garden tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
• Assist with educational and community outreach events held within the garden.
• Help with the setup and breakdown of garden events as needed.

• Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or horticulture is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a love for plants and nature.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation of materials, depending on the position.

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and work in various physical positions.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions, including sun and rain.
