Ecological Restoration Volunteer Day

September 14 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Join the Institute for Regional Conservation for this exciting ecological restoration project with Miami Beach Rising Above on Saturday, September 14th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am! The IRC and volunteers will be working together to plant a variety of native plants on the beach dune along South Pointe Park. Please meet at our sign-in table at the end of the pier/boardwalk under the shade. Groups of volunteers will be instructed on how to install native plants in the ground and learn about coastal ecosystems. We may also remove some nonnative plants.

No experience is required! Grab a friend and come out to help us plant a diverse array of native species so we can enhance the essential biodiversity of South Pointe Park’s beach dune ecosystem. Whether this is your first volunteer event with the IRC or you’re a repeat volunteer, we are so excited to have you join our family and see how much fun habitat restoration can be!

Sign up to come along or email Liz Dutra at ldutra@regionalconservation.org with additional questions. A confirmation email containing all the event details will be sent to all registered participants on the day prior to the event.

PLEASE BRING A WATER BOTTLE, SNACKS, SUNSCREEN, HAT, SUNGLASSES. WEAR CLOSED-TOE SHOES.
